Cookie policy
This page explains what cookies are, which ones Stock Broker Review sets, why, and how you can control them. For the broader privacy context, see our privacy policy.
What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Some cookies are essential for the site to work. Others are optional and are used for things like remembering your preferences or measuring traffic.
Cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for the site to function. They cannot be switched off.
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
session | Auth session — identifies you after sign-in | Session |
shortlist | Persists the brokers you've shortlisted | 365 days |
Analytics
We use privacy-friendly analytics that do not require consent under GDPR. They run on Cloudflare's edge and do not set cross-site tracking cookies.
(To be filled in: if Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled, list the specific cookies/headers it sets; if a third-party tool like Plausible is added, name it.)
What we don't use
- No advertising cookies
- No cross-site tracking
- No third-party retargeting pixels
- No social media tracking cookies
How to control cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. The exact steps depend on your browser:
Note: blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and the shortlist feature.
Do Not Track
We honour the Do Not Track browser signal as an opt-out for any non-essential tracking. Because we don't use any, the signal has no effect on the current site behaviour — but the policy is in place for the future.
Changes
We will update this page if we add or change cookies. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
